Girls Educational & Mentoring Services (GEMS) is an empowering extracurricular program dedicated to providing education, mentoring, and support for girls, helping them achieve their full potential and overcome challenges.
MBK Mission is to cultivate a brotherhood in and across our district community that will help engage, empower, elevate, and enlighten our boys and young men of color in order to actively address disparities in the achievement and opportunity gaps of boys and young men of color and ensure their social-emotional and academic success.
The Student Council gives students a voice to make changes within their school community. We will work together to develop leadership skills, build relationships with the staff and students within the school, and develop school wide initiatives to build a school atmosphere based on what the students want.
"Girls Who Code" is an extracurricular activity designed to empower young women by teaching them coding and computer science skills. It offers a supportive environment where participants learn to code, build projects, and solve real-world problems using technology. The program aims to close the gender gap in technology fields by fostering confidence, creativity, and collaboration among girls. Through hands-on experience and mentorship, "Girls Who Code" inspires participants to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and become leaders in the tech industry.
"E-sport" as an extracurricular activity involves competitive video gaming, where students participate in organized multiplayer gaming competitions. It fosters teamwork, strategic thinking, and quick decision-making skills. Participants often specialize in popular games like League of Legends, Dota 2, or Counter-Strike, and they engage in practice sessions, strategy discussions, and tournaments. This activity also promotes digital literacy and can lead to opportunities in professional gaming, game development, or related fields.

They will be in charge of taking pictures of their peers and school wide events, planning the book from front cover to back cover, collecting photos and organizing them. They will be setting up the schedule to meet the deadlines.
Basketball as an extracurricular activity involves students participating in practices, games, and sometimes tournaments, usually after school hours or on weekends. This activity focuses on developing both physical skills and teamwork. Participants learn the fundamentals of the game, such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and defending.
